At the March meeting we selected this as our new Holy Name Banner.  Thanks to the members of our Historical Committee and our President for making this happen

Well, we decided in February to get ourselves a new banner.  Keep the comments rolling below.

To the right are some pictures of our current Holy Name Banner

At the February General Meeting we will have up to two votes:
1.  Shall we purchase another banner for SMM Holy Name.
2. Which of the above two banners is preferable to you.

If the vote is to retire the current banner, there has already been four doners willing to pick up the cost of mounting the old banner in some kind of shadow box so it can be displayed either permanently if we can get a space, or put on display on special occasions. 

We can have any wording we like.  The committee has suggested that it contain the words "Holy Name Society" and "St. Margaret Mary Parish Lomita". 

The cost of the new banner will be approximately $1200.  This includes the banner, new hardware (poles), custom lettering, and a protective cover.

What do you think of all of this?  Are we nuts to even think about replacing our banner!!

Here are the two Holy Name Banners that the Historical Committee has selected for possible replacements to our current banner.  The one on the left we are calling the Adult Jesus, and the one on the right we are calling Child Jesus.
